This print is part of a series commemorating the 150th year (2019) of the periodic table of elements.

Platinum comes from the Spanish “platino” (little silver). Contrary to its current value as one of the rarest and most expensive metals on the planet, platinum was once thought of as an impurity in gold. Platinum is one of the more resistant and durable metals in the periodic table. It is also great for jewellery as it looks better with more wear and age.
