The title of this print (as well as its inspiration) is the 3 body problem of orbital mechanics wherein there is no closed solution or formulae exists for all sets of initial conditions and numerical methods of manual computation are required to resolve it for each starting condition as it is a generally non repeating phenomena
The first major 3 body problem involved the trajectories of the sun, earth and moon. More modern instances of the 3 body problem are found in fields such as quantum mechanics where it is the modelling and mapping of motion of 3 particles. 
It is also the first in the series of Liu Cixin novels which are well worth the read and how the artist first encountered this term.
